Premium Leather

In order to create exquisite leathers, we source raw materials from a carefully selected group of suppliers that have demonstrated the highest level of animal welfare, sourcing hides that are by-products of the meat industry.

2024

The HQ in Denmark has been chosen as the environmental model for ECCO’s many global offices. The target is to have an energy-neutral HQ by 2024.

2026

Waste overall to be further reduced, especially waste to landfill and wherever possible, waste to be recycled. The target is that 90% of all waste will be recovered by 2026.

2028

To reduce dependency on energy generated from fossil fuel sources and replace it with renewable energy. The target is to be energy neutral by 2028.

2030

Continuing to increase water efficiency, with a target to reach net-zero discharge by 2030. Including to replace, reduce and recycle chemicals, with a target to only use bio-based, recycled, or recyclable chemicals and substances by 2030.

Always seeking to drive positive change in our own production and taking responsibility also in the leather-making industry, ECCO has been an active member of the Leather Working Group since 2010. Committed to driving continuous improvement and improving transparency, this not-for-profit organisation champions environmental best practices in the tanning industry along with its more than 1,800+ members across the globe.
